National Signing Day wasn't actually that long ago, and yet the competition for the country's top college football recruits is already in full swing. The Oklahoma Sooners have received 11 commitments to this point, coming in third in recruiting service MaxPreps' early rankings of top classes.
Stephen Spiewak, MaxPreps' national football editor, joins Homerism to discuss the early returns including:
- OU's early gems -- Trey Metoyer, Brandon Williams and Kendal Thompson;
- where the Sooners go from here;
- the top classes in the country, including the Texas Longhorns' top-rated haul;
- Tampa RB/LB James Wilder and the other candidates to be the nation's No. 1 recruit.
